Make Up For Ever New Boutique in NJ

Tuesday, August 6, 2013

So a few weeks ago I got invited to the new free stand boutique of MUFE in the Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ. I made a quick post about it here. And as promised but a bit late are the photos of the new beautiful and heavenly place for makeup junkies like you and me. Enjoy!

They are available for makeup service for special event and also have a private room for one and one classes that you can have recorded and sent home with you for future reference. It's a cute USB shaped like their lipsticks. How kool is it! Here is their number 201.556.1051 and they also take PRO Card since it's a PRO Store. I can't wait to go back.

*Special Thank You to the great staff at this location, MUFE for inviting me, and for the goodies.
*Pictures were taken at the boutique with MUFE permission.

Makeup Forever's Newest Boutique Coming This Week July 19, 2013

Saturday, July 13, 2013

This is the newest mascara that MUFE has come out with called Smoky Extravagant ($24 and unveiled at The Makeup Show Chicago in June 2013) and I'm doing a review on it this week and FYI they are having a contest (listed above on picture 7/12-7/19, 2013) but this post is about the newest store addition to MUFE. I received an email this week with an invite to tour MUFE newest freestanding boutique opening up at Garden State Plaza (GSP) in Paramus, NJ. It's the largest mall in the northeast and it's right by my home office. I was so excited since now there will be MUFE and Inglot in the same mall (not to take MUFE shine away from this big deal).

I have made an appointment for a private tour to share with my Glammies that will be on July 18, 2013, the day before the store opens to the public on July 19, 2013. It will be located near Neiman Marcus on the second floor. And from the sounds of it, this store is going to kick ass. I can't wait to share and show you!!!

FYI Make sure to follow me on Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook for news, makeup looks, newmamiagain, and everything else.

XOXO- Lizzie

Spring 2012 Color Trends From MAKE UP FOR EVER

Friday, March 23, 2012

A few weeks ago I got sent a few items from Makeup Forever's Spring Color Tread. Of course they never disappointment with their products but especially their color choices for their collections.

If you're ever looking for an eye base or eye color that will late all day then this is your thing. The aqua creams are a must in my makeup kit for the last few years. I did the swatch on my hand and this baby didn't want to come off. I had to scrub it off my hand. They sent me Aqua Cream #18 Light Lilac Shimmer and part of the collection is Tangerine Tango (not pictured) an golden orange color . $22

These stardust are so beautiful and so versatile. You can use them dry, wet, and use them as even lip color. Here is a Cockatoo Star Powder #956 and Margarita a gorgeous green gold (not pictured). $19

And as you know I LOVE their lip glosses. They always leave my lips so super glossy but never sticky or tacky and soft. It's part of their Metal collection and pictured is Starfish #M4. It's a bronze metal color and this picture doesn't do it justice. $18

They also have Solar Power #17 which is a bright yellow eye shadow and Cabaret #58 in a bright pink color, Sodalite Blue Aqua Liner #6, Bellflower #15 Rouge Artist Intense lip color, and Driftwood #21L Aqua Eyes in a grey silver color.
These are available at Sephora & Makeup Forever Boutiques.
Thanks MUFE!

Oops 10 Makeup Mistakes Tag

Monday, August 15, 2011

Hey Glammies!!! I was doing my weekly blog reading and came across Makeup By Ren Ren blog post about   her 10 makeup mistakes. She saw it on youtube and decided to share and I thought this was a great idea since we all start somewhere. After I read Ren Ren's, I started thinking about my learning mistake then I really wanted to share mine.

Here they go.........

1. Apply lashes
I was always scared to try lashes on myself  for some odd reason and then lashes started really coming back into style and I had to learn. Applying lashes on clients is easy for me but sometimes a fight on myself to this day.
*Easy to apply lashes Kiss Premium Lashes
applying fake lashes

2.  Mascara?
Yes, you read right no mascara. When I was young (late teens-earlier 20's) I just never thought that I needed mascara and walked about looking blah. Once I really got into makeup and applied my first mascara, I never turned back again. Having short thin lashes I look sick without my mascara. *A few I like Maybelline Volum Express Colossal, L'oreal Voluminous Carbon Black, MAC Opulash

3. No Primer?
Yup when I first started I NEVER used primer for face or eyes and then would wonder why my makeup would transfer, crease, or just wear off. Oh and could never wear white. DUH! Now I wouldn't dare to apply anything without primer.*Cover FX, Hourglass, Urban Decay, Lorac

4. What? I have to change my foundation from spring/summer to fall/winter?
I must have never got the memo about changing your foundation from season to season. Enough said.
*Revlon Photo Ready, OCC, Almay Smart Shade

5. What's tight lining?
Since I have baby lashes and again they are thin, I never thought about tightlining. What's tightlining you ask. Well, it when you apply liner on the top inner eyelid to make your eyes look bigger and lashes look thicker. If I don't do this I can see the differences on the look of my lashes. *Stila Kajal Eye Liner, Urban Decay Zero

6. Over concealing that pimple
I've been suffering from adult acne since I was 23 and I thought that adding more concealer and foundation was the best method to hide it.  Now I know that it's the opposite. Less is best! *Lancome Effacernes, Amazing Cosmetics, Eve Pearl

7. Brow fill in
I never saw the reason to fill in my brows until my earlier 20's when I started getting my brows done. I got curious one day and fill them in and have always filled in ever since that day. *Anastasia, NYX

8. Washing
I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't always wash my face at night and take my face off. Now, I must have facial wipes, Purity cleanser, and my Clarisonic. *ELF, Purity, Clarisonic

9. I'm scared of that eyelash curler
Scared I was but happy I took that leap to curl those baby lashes. Doing this opens up my eyes and adds volume. *Shu Uemura

10. Contouring
I always would contour my clients and just never myself until over 5 years ago when I started getting a bit older and face got a bit fuller. Now I'm prego and must contour this face since I'm swelling up. *ELF, MUFE,

Makeup Forever New Aqua Liners

Wednesday, May 11, 2011

MAKE UP FOR EVER

I was contact by Makeup Forever which is one of my fav lines with the opportunity to try they're new line of Aqua Liners waterproof liquid liner available in 15 colors. I was so excited since I love liquid liner and have been using it for (our secret) 20 years now. They were kind enough to send me 3 liners in 9 Iridescent Fuchsia, 10 Iridescent Red, and 4 Diamond Multicolor Black.

Now when they said waterproof they meant it! Let me tell you that I wore these on my hand for 7 hours and washed my hands many times without them budging (hubby was even impressed). Once I used some hand sanitizer (alcohol based of course) then it rubbed off. The colors are vibrant and the liner is easy to apply with a firm tip applicator, and at $23 available at Sephora and Makeup Forever Boutique & Sephora Soho Studio. I would rate these a A+. Below are swatches of the 3 liner and self portrait of myself with 9 Iridescent Fuchsia.

Makeup Forever Mini Haul

Thursday, September 16, 2010

My Bestie (Jahnne in Chicago I love you B) had be asking me to go check out Makeup Forever's store in NYC and get a few things she really needed. I had never gone since I'm still fairly new to the East Coast. So, one day my BF (Gaby A.K.A Peanut) and I went to the city and he had a meeting to attend so I took advantage and dropped by MUFE Store on 12th St..

I got a few things for the Bestie and chose these 3 Lab Shine gloss in D22, S2. and S4. The D22 color is not shown for it's true color. It's an orange color with glitter and once applied it's a more sheer glittery gloss. S2 is a shimmer nude color and S4 is a pink golden color with shimmer. They are very lovely colors and are perfect for day and night.  They aren't sticky and have such a beautiful shine. Not available in Sephora but other items from MUFE are available.  These glosses are only available at their store in Union Square 8 E 12th St, NewYork (212) 941-9337.
If you're ever in NYC, you must go by the store.
