What A Crazy Summer NO! Year and A Half!

Tuesday, August 6, 2013

So it's been a crazy summer that I didn't expect but in a good way. We've been blessed this year at Glam 2 Go with a lot of weddings and a bit short staffed, a new baby coming soon (Dec 2013), and a active toddler that keeps me on my toes. We have hired a few new and talented stylist that I'm so happy to have on staff. And that's been the reason I've haven't really been on.

It takes a lot to try to jiggle business, family, home, and work. By the time it's evening I'm exhausted and can't find myself to get to the computer to blog or even dare to do a video and scare ya'll after a long day. But don't get my wrong I want to do it but my energy is BLAH. I'm trying to work a schedule to get my butt up at 4:30-5:00 am to get ready and try to get videos and blogging done before Noelani Stormy (now 20 months) gets up at 6:30 am to get her day started. Yes, she's an early riser and this baby doesn't like taking naps and really never has so that adds to my time of not being able to do my social stuff like I would like.

Now with a new little one coming soon I really need to get myself together to keep doing what I love which is share makeup news, tips, reviews, and making my clients feel and look beautiful. So please just be patient with me and know that I appreciate all you Glammies that follow me on my twitter, instagram, youtube, blog, and facebook.

If your a busy mom like myself, PLEASE share what you do to get your day going and how do you find time to yourself or to do anything in general? What do you do on your quiet time? Everyone please fill in your input.

FYI I've been trying to get to the nail salon for over 1.5 years to pamper myself and still haven't made it. Last time I got a mani and pedi (don't judge me) was the day I had my Noelani Stormy on Nov 23, 2011. Calgon take me away!!!! LOL

P.S If there is any typos I didn't get please excuse them since this baby is driving me crazy while trying to type this. TY!

Make Up For Ever New Boutique in NJ

So a few weeks ago I got invited to the new free stand boutique of MUFE in the Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ. I made a quick post about it here. And as promised but a bit late are the photos of the new beautiful and heavenly place for makeup junkies like you and me. Enjoy!

They are available for makeup service for special event and also have a private room for one and one classes that you can have recorded and sent home with you for future reference. It's a cute USB shaped like their lipsticks. How kool is it! Here is their number 201.556.1051 and they also take PRO Card since it's a PRO Store. I can't wait to go back.

*Special Thank You to the great staff at this location, MUFE for inviting me, and for the goodies.
*Pictures were taken at the boutique with MUFE permission.

Makeup Forever's Newest Boutique Coming This Week July 19, 2013

Saturday, July 13, 2013

This is the newest mascara that MUFE has come out with called Smoky Extravagant ($24 and unveiled at The Makeup Show Chicago in June 2013) and I'm doing a review on it this week and FYI they are having a contest (listed above on picture 7/12-7/19, 2013) but this post is about the newest store addition to MUFE. I received an email this week with an invite to tour MUFE newest freestanding boutique opening up at Garden State Plaza (GSP) in Paramus, NJ. It's the largest mall in the northeast and it's right by my home office. I was so excited since now there will be MUFE and Inglot in the same mall (not to take MUFE shine away from this big deal).

I have made an appointment for a private tour to share with my Glammies that will be on July 18, 2013, the day before the store opens to the public on July 19, 2013. It will be located near Neiman Marcus on the second floor. And from the sounds of it, this store is going to kick ass. I can't wait to share and show you!!!

FYI Make sure to follow me on Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook for news, makeup looks, newmamiagain, and everything else.

XOXO- Lizzie

The Makeup Show Chicago Recap

Monday, June 24, 2013

I know I know!! I'm a bit late to the party of the recap of The Makeup Show Chicago but I say better late then never. Since leaving for the show on June 4th and now it's been crazy with travel, family, show, babies, and wedding season. It's been CRAZY!!!! But anyways, let me share with you photos of the show and a video will follow this week with the blogger event bag and the little haul I did at the show.

First at the blogger event on June 8, 2013, the wonderful and talented James Vincent shared info of the upcoming show and new things to keep an eye out for. It was a new location for this year's 3rd show and it was at the Bridgeport Art Center in the southside of Chicago. Everything this year was on 1 floor which was kool and the locations as always was really pretty. For those of you that don't know James (shown below), he's a self taught and talented makeup artist, sweetheart, down to earth, and all around teddy bear. If you don't know about him then make sure to click that link above to find out more.

He let us know of a few new faces that would be at the show such as the winner of Face-Off J. Anthony, Merrell Hollis a talented award winning makeup artist that has worked with a variety of celebrity, and Sutan Amrull better know for working with America's Next Top Model and season 3 winner of Rupaul's Drag Race and that's just a few to name. Plus of course the veterans like Emmy award winning Eve Pearl, Eugenia Weston for Senna Cosmetics, Crystal Wright, Lori Taylor with Smashbox Cosmetics, and last but not least Orlando Santiago (and that's naming just a few).

Over 3,500 makeup junkies attended this epic 2 days event and everyone was so excited to meet their idols, learn new things and shop, shop, and more shop. I even heard ladies saying this was their highlight of the year, this was their vacation, this was their heaven. And I must say that this is something I really look forward to every year since it's a great  and only show like it's kind to hit the midwest and I get to go home and hang with friends and family. I love Chicago!!!! Anyways... The place was packed and the energy was great. There was some new lines like AJ Crimson Beauty, Grande Lash MD, and the regulars OCC, Crown Brushes, Mehron, Bdellium Tools, and 1 of my favs and must have in your kit Embryolisse (ask for the sweet Michelle and tell her I sent you).

It was a fantastic show and thanks to the Metropolitan Event & Production, The Powder Group, Melody Joy from Melody Joy PR and everyone that makes these show's happen every year. Thanks for another great show and see ya in Orlando.

No Smudgee Mascara Shield Giveaway

Tuesday, May 28, 2013

I purchased these No Smudgee Mascara Shield a few weeks ago to try them out and purchase some extras to share with my Glammies for a giveaway.
I have 9 available to giveaway (I have 1 to try out) and would love to hear from you ladies your tips & tricks for mascara and what's your fave mascara at this time.
My tip is something I've done for years and entered in a ELF Comsetics beauty tip and won. Ok here it is and hope it helps. When you apply your mascara and have clumps, take a metal (works best) lash separator and add a little bit of eye makeup remover to declump lashes. No more spider legs on your eyes.
My fave mascara at the moment is Benefit's They're Real mascara.
Best of luck Glammies!

Nails & Nail Aid

Tuesday, April 9, 2013

Glammies I listened to what you guys want to see on Glam 2 Go. One of the top things to see more of is (drum roll please)........ NAILS! Now this is hard for me since I'm a makeup artist/esthetician and tend to keep my nails short. I don't do acrylic since it kills my nails and gel is not bad but I don't have the time for the upkeep and I don't want to spend the money on it. So............I'm in the process of growing my nails and getting them strong to start my mission of nail art and swatching. I'm trying this products I found yesterday name Nail Aid.  It's a dupe for Sally Hansen 4 n 1 and it cost a less (Nail Aid $3.89 and Sally Hansen $7.36) Review to come soon on it.

Have anyone of you heard of this, tried it, or do you have any nail tricks to share to get my nails on point?
